How The Billing Cycle & Payment Deadlines Work

On the 25th of each month, your charges for the coming month will be generated. This will include any add-on items or fees (per your lease), as well. 


All rent is due by the 1st of each month at the latest. If you have Autopay setup, your charges will be automatically processed on the 1st. To setup Autopay, please see the relevant article.


Example: 

On August 25th, your September rent charges will show up in your Resident Portal. Your payment of those charges is due on September 1st at the latest.


Autopay vs. Manual Payments


If you enrolled in autopay upon moving in, your rent is automatically billed to you on the first weekday of every month. Otherwise, you must manually pay your rent via the Connect by Common app.


To enroll in autopay, please do so through your Resident Portal. You may do this by:

  1. Click on the “Payments” tab in your mobile app

  2. Ensure your on the “Payments” tab of the page that loads

  3. Select “Auto-Payments”

  4. Click “Add New Auto-Payment”

  5. Configure with your preferred payment method.


To manually pay your rent, please do so through your Resident Portal. You may do this by:

  1. Click on the “Payments” tab in your mobile app

  2. Ensure your on the “Payments” tab of the page that loads

  3. Select “Make a Payment”

  4. Follow the prompts to issue payment via your preferred method.


Please note that there is a fee of 2.9% + $.30 associated with credit or debit card payments. You may also directly link your account for ACH payment.
